It's time to open  a Affiliate Account. Also called as a Publisher Account. Let's start right away

IMP: We have to Join as a "Publisher" & NOT as a Advertiser.

MUST READ: Before following the below given steps, make sure your have Internet Explorer 5.5 or above installed on your PC. Disable any pop-up blockers, if there are. In Internet Explorer, the same can be done from "tools" menu.

 

Follow the steps described below, in order they are mentioned to become a member of CJ

1. Click on the Link https://signup.cj.com/member/publisherSignUp.do . Publisher Application sign up page will appear. You are called as publisher.

2.  Select Language as English, select your country (India in our case), and Select functional currency as USD, if your are registering from India.

3.  Click on NEXT. Remember, your Pop-up blocker should be disabled or Turned OFF

4.  A Warning Pop up window should appear. Simply Click CLOSE on that window.

5.  PUBLISHER APPLICATION: Step 2 of 2 page will appear.

6.  You will see Service Agreement. Scroll down the text box, click on Accept. Check right on other check boxes that are appearing below that. Remember, you have to be above 18 yrs of age

7.  Next it asks for Website or Newsletter name. We assume that at this point of time you are not having a website of your own. If you are enrolled in any newsletter, you can mention it's name or else write "PPC Programs", which signifies the type of the promotional campaign you will be carrying. No hard and Fast rules, though.

8.  Next it asks for Website URL. In case you have provided a Newsletter or Forum in point above, enter it's URL i.e. web address. If you have mentioned "PPC Programs" than you can put http://www.bidvertiser.com . BidVertiser is a company that provides PPC Programs. If you have a running website of your own, we recommend you put that URL (name).

9.  In the "describe your website" field, put remark as, "promoting through PPC Programs".

10.  Next it asks for Website category. Select one which you feel is appropriate. If you have mentioned http://www.bidvertiser.com above, then you can select Business - Marketing.

11.  Next it asks for "Current Monthly Unique Visitors". In case of BidVertiser, you can mention 501K-701K. In others cases, you will have to enter a rough estimate. If it is a relatively new newsletter, you can even mention <99K. Again not a hard and fast rule.

12.  Next it asks for promotional methods. You can select "Website / Content" & "Search Engine Marketing" for the time being.

13.  Next field asks "Does your website offer incentives..." As you don't have a website at this point of time, simply click on "NO". Even if you have a website, Put NO.

14.  Next comes "Contact information and "Company Information". These are general fields to fill, so we are not giving an explanation here. Provide a valid email ID as that email ID will be your CJ login name.

15.  In the Payment Information, select "Check" (Cheque), if you are from India. Check the Payee's name. You will receive Cheque in this name.

16.  Next it will ask you to enter characters in to box below. This security norm now a day is followed by almost all companies, to prevent from Auto Form Submission, spam. If you are not able to see any randomly printed characters, then there is some problem with your version of Internet Explorer. Try restarting your system or get a new copy of Internet Explorer 5.5 or above installed. If still the problem persists, try it with some other computer.

17.  Click on Accept Term. And you are done.

CJ will send you an email regarding login information. Your username will be your email ID and password will be sent to you by CJ via email. If not found in your inbox, check for the same in your junk or bulk mail folder. Don't leave without reading the steps below

You will get your password in the email and just below that you will see a text like

In order to complete the payment information required for your account, you must login to the CJ Account Manager and complete your tax information by filling out and submitting one of our electronic tax certification forms (Account>Administrative Settings>Tax Information).
 

This tax form is necessary to be submitted. Login to your CJ account and fill in the online tax forms. You will see 2 forms under the section "Non US Persons". Fill in the general details and leave all that is Not Mandatory. Click on Submit Form and you are done. 

To Remember: Remember the word, "Publisher" & Forget the word "Advertiser"

Note: For representation purpose, I will do a  joining with the below given Dummy Address. But you have to provide your actual address and details because payment will be coming to that address only
